H.264 Megapixel IR D/N IP Camera
The Zavio F5110/F5115 is a fully featured and cost-effective H.264 1.3 Megapixel box IP camera equipped with day/night.

"Zavio F5110/F5115 provides not only Megapixel resolution but also H.264 compression to meet the need of professional security surveillance," says Chris Wang, Zavio's product manager.  "As 1.3 Megapixel resolution, this makes them provide four times more details in the (viewing) securing area, compared to traditional CCTV cameras or network cameras with VGA resolution."

The high video quality of the F5110/F5115 series of cameras is also achieved through providing maximum 15 frame rates in SXGA resolution (1280x1024) and 30 frame rates in VGA resolution (640x480), which performs the smooth video for live securing and storage. Furthermore, there are 4 selectable resolutions included HD 720P set via configuration web page in each compression for increasing flexibility.

Automatic removable IR cut filter, 850nm infrared LEDs with 10m effective range and megapixel resolution board lens with IR correction are offered by F5110/F5115 to realize true day/night function. With true day/night function, Zavio F5110/F5115 can provide superior video quality in low light or even in 0 lux condition.

Either Power over Ethernet (PoE) or wireless 802.11b/g is capable in F5110/F5115. Zavio F5110 equips with PoE, which offers two obvious benefits: cabling cost saving and flexibility of device placement. Zavio F5115 offers high performance wireless transmission with IEEE 802.11 b/g capabilities, which is flexible to choose either a wireless connection or a wired connection to the network. In addition, Zavio F5110 and F5115 both simultaneously encode multiple video streams (H.264, Motion JPEG, and MEPG-4) to realize A3: Anytime Anywhere Access.

Zavio F5110/F5115 will be available in Q4 2009; they will be offered with true Megapixel resolution board lens, which ensures great video quality for securing offices, shops, and other indoor facilities.

The Application of SAMBA in IP surveillance

In the past , many people transferred or exchanged data on the network by a famous protocol – FTP (File Transfer Protocol). However, FTP was usually not allowed users to modify the files on the server directly, which brought many inconveniences to users. Therefore, new network file system was developed – NFS (Network File System) and CIFS (Common Internet File System, also known as SMB), but there came another problem: At the beginning, NFS could only run on Unix system, while CFIS could only run on Windows system. To solve this problem, SAMBA came out.
Briefly speaking, SAMBA is a software re-implement from CIFS protocol, it allows files sharing between computers running Windows and computers running Unix. Zavio is the first professional IP Camera manufacturer that tries to apply this technic into IP camera, but what benefits does SAMBA bring?

1.More convenient:
Being built-in the IP camera, SAMBA, which can replace alarm sending and periodical functions, works like the “Network
Neighborhood” we’re using in Windows. Therefore, users no longer need to record video by a NVR.

2.No limitation between different systems:
Samba can be used in both Windows and Unix systems (such as Linux), while most of the NVR can only be used in Windows
   system.

3. Longer time for video recording:
Before, once anything triggered motion/audio detection set up by users, the IP Camera would automatically start recording
videos in the flash, and send it out via FTP or SMTP. However, due to the flash storage is limited, the IP Camera cannot record
videos over than 5 seconds, but most of the times 5 seconds is not enough to let users know what is happening. On the other
hand, since SAMBA connects the system before recording videos, it can record 60 seconds at most(In H.264/MPEG-4 format),
which is 12 times more than FTP/SMTP!
